This was a delight! I mean, my daughter would hate it (she suffers from true arachnaphobia), but I loved your take on the art and function of the spider's sticky craft. I haven't written it (yet), but the title, "Spiders I have known" keeps popping up in my head. Might have to have some fun with that soon. Thanks for the inspiration! :)

Thank you so much! I think a lot of people are afraid of spiders. I’m much more fearful of the bugs who fly. 😬

I like that title, can’t wait to read whatever you have cooking.

I way cool! I was just thinking about spiders yesterday, how these things terrify my wife so badly, yet they are so small. I don’t mind them, in fact, I too try to leave them be to kill other bugs that I don’t care for.

But my point of reference is unique, built on the pedestal we set on as apex predators. To the majority of the animal kingdoms, spiders are rightly terrifying, so my wife is more in tune with the earth than I am in this regard.

Thanks for giving spiders such a wonderful ode. They are unsung heroes.

Thank you so much! I am terrified of anything that flies at your face so spiders seem pretty chill to me in comparison. But I have noticed that people who are scared of them have a zero tolerance policy. 😬

Thankfully, adaptation of wings skipped that family of insects. Imagine skywriting spiders, pooting out a net in the air.
