Hi Heather, thank you so much for reading (and listening!) and taking the time to comment. It means so much to me that this subject is important to you. I will definitely take this to heart. I love these stories about our animal loved ones and will see how I can incorporate them more. I do hope you get a chance to visit this place someday because I think you would just love it. Thank you so much for being here.

It must be such a peaceful place. I cannot imagine a place that holds more unconditional love. Thank you for sharing your visit there. It makes the world seem like a slightly kinder, softer place. And we really need that right now.

This is beautiful, Lyns. Thank you for sharing. I’m so glad you got a taste of your passion so you know what you’re moving towards. Thank goodness our callings are patient. Us, not so much. Haha

I’m right there with you. 💕

Thank you, Lynn! Yes, this was definitely a lesson in patience. (Those pesky bills.) we see so many stories about people dropping everything and living their best lives. This is a story about choosing to stay where I am, with gratitude, plus contributing and living my dreams anyway, in whatever capacity I can. I have received so much guidance and encouragement from your posts. I think it is facing the fear of staying still but not complacent. Thank you so much for your kind words and support. Always, always very appreciated.

A little bit of a surreal read on my phone that's held by the hand with the wrist that wears my dog's ashes as jewellery 🙈😆 (family culture for cremation over burial)

Sweetestbitter (instead of bittersweet) about the job. It would be wonderful just not now. 🤞 For another time if you feel pulled that way in the future still. Glad you could venture that way for a while and 💯 well worth celebrating! (So that's sweetestbitter then bittersweet maybe 🧐)

Thank you Sweet Jen. You are a beacon. I love that you wear cremation jewelry, and the job was a bit closer to this type of death care. Ash jewelry is so awesome. I love that you keep him so close. It’s also a bit synchronistic, I read your post from last week just this morning (sorry I’m so behind) and I believe you mentioned him. Very cool. Thank you so much for the sweetest bitter, you always give me new perspectives. It’s refreshing.

"But I did the thing, and found my calling."

I am so happy for you!!! Your own special nook will make itself known soon.

I love your story. I have not been able to let go of my babies, most adopted at the end of their lives. I have a collection of lovely urns and boxes ❤ After picking them up at the vets, I hug them as we walk through the door and say, "Welcome back home."

Thank you Rena! What a beautiful thing to say. I totally get that about the ashes. The job I almost took was also somewhat related to cremation. And I too have an urn of ashes from my sweetest girl Clem. I do love having her with me. I love that “welcome back home.” 🥹🥹🥹

This was so beautiful. In so many ways. I find it interesting that people have come and gone from my life, many I can’t remember really but the pets… one never forgets that unconditional love. I love that you accepted this adventure when you were in that area.

My question to you is while I do understand the financial side of the decisions we make— is there an opportunity for you to shift into the energy flow of what you want to do most? I had this image/feeling of you being the person who helps people through their grief after losing these cherished family members. Maybe like a death doula but for pets departing or just departed? Maybe it’s the side hustle for now -as the cool kids say… that eventually after building it becomes the only- not hustle- thing you do that provides your income. Just thinking. Offering possibilities. ❤️

Hi Sacred, yes I totally agree it’s the unconditional love and the total reliance we have on each other. They are special magical creatures who I’m not sure that we deserve.

That is such an interesting thought and I have been exploring educational programs with mixed reviews. I will definitely consider seriously what you are saying and look into the death doula idea. Thank you so much!!

This is beautiful Lyns! And life is bittersweet at times, just like death. We get what we want but the timing is off, or there is something else that is needed. Yet the process is so informative. And the dream is still alive. Blessings to you on where this takes you next.

Thank you Maria! It was a tough choice but I think saying no to something can be saying yes to something else. I am definitely madly in love with this place and this area of interest, it feels like right now it is more about the journey rather than the destination, which is just fine. Thank you for reading and for your support.
